To: Our friends in the Ski Industry: After more than 100 years in the tramway and chairlift business, the Riblet Tramway Company is closing its doors. It's been a great run, but the time has come to call it quits. The limited market for fixed grip chairlifts simply does not allow Riblet to retain the specialized personnel and facilities required to build new lifts. As of the first of May, we have a very limited crew here at Riblet. We will continue to supply genuine Riblet parts, as well as chair clip NDT and certain other services and repairs, as we wind down. We expect to close up entirely by the end of the coming summer. We have a large inventory, so please continue to call us here at Riblet for your parts needs. You can be confident that we will complete any work that we start for you. Regarding future parts and support for Riblet chairlifts, we are hopeful that a third party will purchase our inventory and offer high quality parts and services to operators of Riblet products.
